Scott Sinclair
Senior Researcher, Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives

Scott Sinclair

Scott Sinclair is a senior researcher with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives where he coordinates the centre's Trade and Investment Research Project. He has advised several Canadian provincial and territorial governments on trade policy matters, including from 1994-1999 as a senior trade policy advisor to the Government of British Columbia. He also served as a consultant to the British Columbia Legislature's Committee on The Multilateral Agreement on Investment and assisted the committee in the preparation of two reports.

He has written many books, chapters, articles and studies on trade policy including Facing the Facts: A Guide to the GATS Debate (with Jim Grieshaber-Otto); and Bad Medicine: Trade Treaties, Privatisation and Health Care Reform in Canada (with Jim Grieshaber-Otto). He is also the author of Putting Health First: Canadian Health Care Reform, Trade Treaties and Foreign Policy (with Matthew Sanger), a background study prepared for the Romanow Commission on the Future of Health Care in Canada. He recently published the study Atlantica: Myths and Reality (with John Jacobs).

Scott Sinclair has a BA in political science from UPEI and an MA in political science from York University. He lives near Georgetown, Prince Edward Island.
