Bill Denyar
President & CEO Atlantic Provinces Chambers of Commerce
A long-time and active chamber member, Bill has been involved with Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade in Nova Scotia for several years, holding a variety of positions. In 2006, APCC awarded the Harvey Webber Commemorative Award to Bill in recognition of his contribution to the Eastern Kings Chamber of Commerce enhancing the Chamber of Commerce movement in NS and the region. Prior to his current role, Bill was President of Eastern Kings Chamber of Commerce, 1st Vice President NSCC and NS Director at APCC.
Bill is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute, a Certified Investment Manager, Certified Financial Planner and a Professional Geologist. He worked in Calgary’s oil industry for nine years before returning to Nova Scotia in 1989 where he established a specialty steel fabrication business in Stellarton. From there, he moved into the financial services industry joining a national brokerage firm in New Glasgow in 1995.
Bill graduated with a B. Comm from St. Mary’s University, a B.SC. from Dalhousie University and earned an Honours Certificate in Geology from Dalhousie as well.
